questions

1. I think it went ok. I was really nervous for this speech. I'm not very good at public speaking, especially when I feel unprepared. I was pretty confused about the criteria of the speech at first, so my rehearsal speech wasn't great. After I got feedback, I understood better what I needed to do, so my final speech was definitely better. I was less nervous and was able to keep my main ideas in my head.

2. One aspect of my delivery that I want to work on is the way I talk. It seems to me that when I'm in a public speaking position, I don't pause and just run through my ideas really quick. I want to work on slowing down so people can understand me better. I also want to work on the tone of my voice. I end a lot of sentences like a question, and that makes me sound like I don't know what I'm talking about. I want to change that so people will believe what I'm saying.

3. One way I can improve on my delivery is practicing in front of people. I usually practice by myself, and while that does help me memorize what I'm going to say, it doesn't help me catch voice things that I miss, like talking too quickly or not sounding sure of myself. Another way is recording myself talking and listening back to it. If I can't meet with someone to practice, this would be a good way to analyze my speech and give myself helpful feedback.
